Anna Okko sewing batik

Hello!

My products are inspired by South and East Asia and all the lands in between, be it the textiles that I source from this region or the surface textures that one often sees in traditional products there.

This is a place of vivid colours and prints, reminiscent of my childhood days growing up there. This is also where I bring together my two loves – buttons and fabrics – both of which I, admittedly, have too much of. Additionally, ask anyone who knows me and they'll tell you that I'm quite a sewing fanatic.

I treasure my collection of traditional Asian fabrics that I've amassed over the years. Some pieces are vintage remnants passed on to me while others were incidental purchases made at different points in my life. As these fabrics were often sold in single pieces, I have only a limited yardage of each print but let’s face it, it’s pointless keeping them neatly folded in the cupboard for eternity. This is my way of making good use of these fabrics - by transforming them into something practical to be shared with you.
